Our interview with Corinne Bernizet Serrano, artisan and founder of Baucis et Philemon
There are worlds that resonate with Myrtille more than others, because they are imbued with a genuine sensitivity. The world of Baucis and Philemon is one of them. While browsing through a publication, Myrtille discovered the work of this artisan and was immediately moved by the profound beauty of her world, by something deeply personal. It was this impulse that led to our meeting, and then to the desire to showcase her work in our windows. Behind this name is a creator, Corinne Bernizet Serrano, with a rare eye, attentive to the beauty of old things and the stories they still tell. Her work consists of taking objects marked by time, revealing their flaws and fragilities, to restore their presence and radiance.
In the palm of her hands, the old finds its beauty again. Corinne crafts jewelry boxes, decorative objects, small souvenir cards, paper flowers, as well as fabric embroidery and other delicate creations, all imbued with poetry. With reimagined objects and materials brought to life through her touch, her entire world speaks of delicacy and that precious ability to see beauty where it is sometimes most subtle.

With the arrival of spring, we wanted to bring the world of Baucis and Philemon into our store windows. This collaboration resonates deeply with what we strive to bring to life at Myrtille Beck : a focus on handcrafted creations, an eye for detail, and that unique sensibility that breathes life into objects.
There is something about his work that particularly resonates with Myrtille. It’s the way he brings out what makes an object unique, embracing its imperfections and history to turn them into a strength. It’s an approach that echoes what our jewelry also seeks to express.
The various elements designed by the creator thus find their perfect place in our display cases. They delicately complement our jewelry, infusing it with a sense of poetry and creating a vibrant, deeply spring-like setting. These display cases are both subtle and full of life, enveloping Brand creations.
This event also coincides with the launch of a new creation, which will be quietly unveiled on April 25. A piece conceived as a gentle promise, which these storefronts are already hinting at in their own way.
Through this collaboration, we wanted to celebrate exceptional craftsmanship, the precision of skilled hands, and a keen sensibility. It is a way of believing in the beauty of things crafted with patience, in the emotion found in details, and in all that creations imbued with soul can inspire.
