WHITE DIAMONDS

We use GSI quality diamonds for our brilliant cutsMyrtille Beck, and GVS quality diamonds for our Rosecut.

Diamonds come from mines all over the world, mostly in Australia, Africa, Russia and Canada .

We use two different sizes of stones:

• The Brilliant Cut: diamondis cut with 57 facets for maximum shine and brilliance. The stone has a pointed yoke on the underside that allows the light to be reflected, you cannot see through the stone.
• The Rose or rosecut cut is our favourite cut: it is an ancient cut, perfectly imperfect, pyramidal on the top, slightly facetted, on a flat base. We are very fond of it for the character and the ancient charm it gives to our jewellery. We use it in many shapes (round, oval, hexagon, pear, shuttle...). It appeared during the Renaissance and was widely used during the 18th and 19th centuries... Its shine is very subtle on the surface and the light passes through the stone in transparency, which is why we mount it on shiny backgrounds to give them this delicate and mysterious light.

BLACK DIAMONDS

They fall into two categories:

• The Naturals: black with translucent areas or studded with very condensed black micro inclusions.
• The Heated: opaque blacks, heated to 4,000 degrees, they have the vivid glow of that diamondwhich glitters on their facets, but do not let the light through.

The marriage of black diamonds with therose gold east is very interesting in its contrasts of shadows and light associated with the warm softness of therose gold. The different sizes of black diamonds that we use are mostly round, cushion, emerald cut rosecut.
